Kim Marquardt is a talented and experienced graphic designer with an extensive background in web and print design. Since 2003, she has owned her own successful firm, providing services for a wide range of public affairs / public relations companies, associations, non-profits, and businesses. Her capabilities include web design and development, social media, HTML email, infographics, brochures and flyers, advertising, direct mail, signs and displays, and logos and identity systems. Kim’s motto is “appealing, professional design ready when you need it.” She understands that design isn’t just about looking good — it must deliver the message. Her work is detail-oriented, user-friendly, and on-time.
From 1993-2003, Kim worked for the public affairs firm Goddard Claussen, where she was in charge of interactive services. Under her direction, Goddard Claussen became one of the leading producers of web sites for initiative, issue advocacy and legislative campaigns. During her tenure there, she produced more than 30 successful sites, in addition to developing proposals, presentations, logos and various campaign materials. An accomplished writer and editor, she also assisted with the creation of advocacy materials and web site content.
Prior to joining Goddard Claussen, she worked as a publications manager and assistant editor for the California Pharmacists Association and as a freelance graphic designer for several statewide non-profit associations.
Kim holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English from California State University, Sacramento, and has completed numerous graphic design and web development courses through the University of California, Davis Extension and on-line.
In her limited free time, Kim fantasizes about having interesting hobbies to add to her profile.
